MULTIFUNCTIONAL HOME OFFICE

A call to arms for flexibility, this project required us to think about utilising the same space in two different functions. Given the pandemic, the client was required to work from home in what became an increasingly cramped makeshift spare bedroom/office hybrid. By integrating as much storage as well as the bed into the wall, we were able to reclaim a space that feels calm and ample during working hours. Then to be as comfortable and uncompromising when acting as a spare bedroom too. This project reflects the false choice many have to make between another bedroom or a home office and shows that when designed purposefully they can coexist.
